Green Day - Uno! - Album Review

A track-by-track look back at Green Day's 2012 release ,  Uno!   UNO! - TRACK LISTING  1.  Nuclear Family - Solid choice to lead off the album, it's an up-tempo rocker that definitely "sounds like Green Day." It's catchy. I like catchy songs. Rating: 7.5*    2.  Stay the Night - This is my favorite song on the album. It reminds me of Kerplunk -era Green Day. Great melody, great chorus. An instant classic. This is one of their best songs off any album. Rating: 9.5  3. Carpe Diem - I have mixed feelings about this song. It's definitely catchy and fun to sing along to, but it's a little slower than I prefer and parts of it remind me of the song, "Suffocate," that appeared on their 2002 release,  Shenanigans . If I'd never heard "Suffocate" it's quite possible my entire perception of "Carpe Diem" would be different. Rating: 7.0    4.  Let Yourself Go - A straight-up rocker, this one gets going fast r

Random Baseball Cards ... Ozzie Smith 1984 Topps #130

Ozzie Smith 1984 Topps #130 RANDOM THOUGHTS ... Here we see Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith hustling down the baseline on his 1984 Topps card. Smith played 124 games in 1984, posting a stat line of .257/.347/.337 (.684 OPS). Yikes, that .337 slugging percentage is hard to look at... but at least he was hustling! He also added 791 cart-wheels, which was right around his career average. And, oh yeah, he was named an All-Star and won a Gold Glove. ... I've always admired the 1984 Topps card design, going as far as to say it's my favorite Topps baseball card design of the 1980's. A bold statement, for sure, but this design is top-notch. You've got the player inset photo, with the player photo exploding out of the top of the frame, which is cool. The vertical team name, with matching team color, is a nice touch as well. Player name and position are presented cleanly in all-caps in the lower-right hand corner of the card. Just a really nice-looking design. Awesome card from

Crazy the Wildman:  (In a boorish, Cockney accent) Well, you see...to me...dying is like...uh, a part of religion, right?  Right.  Dying is like, a part  of the end of my mortal being.  And, thinking about religion makes me think of where we came from, or rather...uh, the way I  think about it is more...uh, like...instead of where we came from...right.  It's like, where are we going? What are we going to evolve into?  What galaxy  are we... Brandon Schlong:   I'm just gonna cut you off right there.  I know you're a rock-star and you're just waiting   to tell the world about your religious beliefs a
